Chilli Paneer

Cooking Time - 35 mins        Serves - 4 as a main dish

Ingredients

  • 500g Paneer cheese
  • 20g garlic
  • 1 large onion
  • Tri coloured peppers, we used a red, yellow and green
  • 4 green chillies
  • 2 tablespoons of Baj's Blazin' Original Hot Sauce
  • 4 tablespoons of corn flour
  • 1 tablespoon of red chilli powder
  • 1 tablespoons of dark soya sauce
  • 1 tablespoon of brown sugar
  • Cooking oil
  • Coriander to garnish
  • Salt & Pepper

Method

1. Mix the cornflour with 20ml of water, add the red chilli powder and some salt & pepper

2. Chop the paneer into small evenly sized chunks, we've cut ours into 2cm strips

3. Heat a little oil in a frying pan

3. Coat each piece of paneer in the corn flour mix and shallow fry for a couple of minutes until slightly golden. Repeat until all of the paneer has been cooked. Drain onto kitchen towel and set aside

4. Chop the onions and peppers into evenly sized chunks and cook in a little cooking oil for 3-4  minutes on a medium heat.

5. Roughly chop the garlic and add this to the peppers and onions too

5. Add in the Baj's Blazin' Hot Sauce, Soya Sauce and brown sugar to the peppers and onions and cook for a further 2 minutes on a medium heat.

6. Add the paneer in with the onions and peppers and cook on a medium heat for a further 3 minutes on a medium heat.

7. Slice the green chillies down the middle and cut into chunks, we didn't deseed ours as we like the heat in the seeds, however remove if needed (what a waste! lol)

7. Add salt & pepper to taste

8, Serve with a garnish of coriander
